Sling Media’s Picks for 2014 College Basketball Tournament

It’s tourney time!

The “experts” here at Sling Media wanted to share their picks for this year’s college basketball tournament now that it’s in full swing. See our bracket below.

Why didn’t we post our predictions prior to the tournament starting this morning? We figured, who’s going to take it seriously? We have about as much expertise as my 90-year-old grandmother. Besides, this is all for fun, right?

Truth be told, it hasn’t started out so well for us. Dayton (that other Ohio) school, knocked off Ohio St. in the first game of the day and the PAC-12 up-and-comer, Colorado, laid an egg against Pittsburgh. We didn’t predict either of those teams making it past the second round anyway.

Harvard is the 12-5 upset everyone likes to pick and, for the second year in a row, they came through for everyone in true form.

As for the Final Four, we’re taking two No. 4 seeds in Louisville and Michigan St., one No. 1 in Arizona and a No. 3 in Syracuse, who looked so good for much of the year, slipped a bit and is now poised to make a run.

Michigan St. rises to the top of our bracket, but if Louisville or Syracuse knock them off, we won’t be surprised.

Want to share who you have in your Final Four and who you chose as the champion? Feel free to leave a comment. Until then, watch all the live games with your Slingbox!
