Top 10 most watched of the week (sports): NCAA Tournament is huge, but so is soccer

Your 10 most watched programs of the week on Slingbox, sports edition, were as follows. Check after the list for a few quick thoughts on this week’s most watched live sports:

1. La Liga soccer
2. CBB: Northeastern vs. Notre Dame
3. Liga MX soccer
4. CBB: Cincinnati vs. Kentucky
5. UEFA Champions League soccer
6. CBB: Ohio State vs. Arizona
7. CBB: Texas vs. Butler
8. Cricket World Cup: India vs. Bangladesh
9. Nascar: Auto Club 400
10. CBB: Hampton vs. Kentucky

As predicted last week, the NCAA Mens’ Basketball Tournament was huge on Slingbox this week. (Again, don’t forget to sign up for our Madness Cubed sweepstakes for a chance to win a Slingbox 500, a cubicle makeover and a party for your office!) The most popular March Madness game was the first (second?) round matchup between 3-seed Notre Dame and 14-seed Northeastern, which saw the Fighting Irish escape a close upset bid from the Huskies. Kentucky, the team everyone (except my failed bracket) expects to win, saw both its games show up on the list.

Still, soccer reigned supreme, as Spain’s professional league managed to trump all individual March Madness games. Mexico’s Liga MX and the UEFA Champions League also had very strong showings. Nascar also kept its spot with the Auto Club 400 in Southern California, and the Cricket World Cup quarterfinal that saw India defeat Bangladesh also made an appearance.

We’ll be back next week with another set of top 10s.
