Create your own TV experience: whenever and wherever you feel the need

When it comes to watching our favorite TV shows, technology has definitely played a role in the different options we have when it comes to our choice of devices. A majority of us have watched a TV show on our phone, tablet or laptop. As a result, there has been a general question of concern when it comes to the sustainability of paid TV programming. It seems as though cable services have become less of a necessity due to our easy access to the Internet and streaming TV shows online.

However, according to a recent report from Media Post, paid cable services have not endured any major decline in business. In the past four years, the number of U.S. households with paid TV programming have only decreased by 2 percent.  Subscribers are actually making changes to their cable packages to better cater to their needs, but not necessarily ending their subscriptions all together. According to the article, Parks Associates reported that 11 percent of subscribers cut or downgraded their packages, while 9 percent of subscribers actually upgraded their packages to include premium channels, DVRs and more.

To ensure all of your needs are being catered to when it comes to televised entertainment, Slingbox provides you with the ability to take your favorite TV show or sports program with you, no matter where you go. That’s right – if you just recently upgraded your cable subscription but have a business trip coming up that will hinder you from watching those premium channels, Slingbox lets you access these programs on your mobile device, whether it be live TV or DVR content. In addition, Slingbox also works with streaming devices such as Apple TV®, Chromecast®, Fire TV® or Roku®, allowing you to tap into your subscription from a second TV.

Slingbox will help enhance paid TV programming subscriptions by allowing consumers to access the packages they are paying for, whenever and wherever they feel the need! In the midst of changing and upgrading paid TV subscriptions, subscribers should consider adding Slingbox to maximize their day-to-day TV experience and minimize the chance of missing the shows, games and movies they pay for when they’re not at home.

Bachelor in Paradise is a spin-off of the hit show The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. The eliminated contestants from both shows are isolated on a romantic island, trying to heal broken hearts, and possibly find new love.

Watching The Walking Dead and the new series Fear the Walking Dead can make me even more nervous about a zombie apocalypse, but it does give me a good idea about how I can survive from those flesh eating monsters. Fear the Walking Dead is a prequel series to The Walking Dead, which was a hit TV show that first aired in 2010. The first episode of Fear the Walking Dead aired yesterday August 23rd, and most die-hard The Walking Dead fans must be really excited for this new series.

With the regular season of football starting in September, preseason games have been a big hit among Slingbox users. The Broncos tied the game in the 4th quarter after being down 3 to 17. In overtime, the Seahawks were able to score the game winning touchdown. Back-to-school showdown: Slingbox makes home TV viewing easy for both parents and students

It’s back-to-school season, the time of year that’s bittersweet for both students and parents.  During August and September, moms and dads are trying to get their younger kids back into the groove of early mornings and homework while college students are moving into their dorms, meeting new roommates and realizing they are far from home. With all the difficult things that come with this time of year, there’s one thing you can always enjoy and that’s TV!

Parents, you’ve finally managed to get your oldest off to college; however, you still have a few more years of after-school programs, soccer practice and dance rehearsals left for the younger ones. These activities leave no time to make it home to watch your favorite shows that’s where Slingbox comes in. While you’re outside waiting for the bell to ring or for practice to end, Slingbox allows you to watch your favorite TV shows on any personal device, including phones, tablets and computers. Whether it’s the most popular reality show on television, your favorite daytime soap opera or Monday night football – watch while you wait.(Don’t worry, they’ll be 18 before you know it)

College kids, although you’re free from younger siblings, household chores and the reign of your parents, there is still no place like home. But you can still find the comforts of home right from your own dorm room by watching your favorite television shows or enjoying your home team football games with Slingbox. According to a study by Marketing Charts, the average college student owns seven technical devices; the most popular device owned was the laptop with 85 percent of the vote, while the television landed at 60 percent and DVR only 18 percent. With Slingbox, you can tap into your parent’s premium cable subscription to access your home content from your dorm room or even in between classes, using your laptop, computer, phone, or tablet. If you do have a TV in your dorm, you can even connect to your Slingbox at home through Apple TV®, Chromecast®, Fire TV® and Roku®.

Check out Slingbox while you’re doing your back-to-school shopping this year–it may just make this season that much easier!

This week, the houseguest will battle deception and trust as one more contestant will be evicted on Sunday. Catch the next episode on Wednesday in order to find out who will win the power of veto.

Being the most watched and played sport in the entire world, soccer continues to dominate out sports top 10 list. In America, we call the game soccer, but to most people around the world, soccer is known as football. Futbol Mexicano Primera Division remains the most watched sports program this week, as the tournament heats up.

Good news! Football is back! Not soccer, but the sport with the ball in the shape of Hey Arnold’s head or Stewie from Family Guy’s head where teams score touchdowns instead of goals. Football season is always exciting, and with a Slingbox you will never miss a game. On Sunday, preseason kicked off with the Steelers playing against the Vikings. The Steelers came up short against the Vikings, as they lost the game 3 to 14. Although it is only preseason, it is great to be able to watch football again. It feels like it has been too long.

We’ll be back next week with another set of top 10’s.
