February is a big month in the world of NASCAR. Unlike most professional sports, which have their prestigious competitions at the end of each season, NASCAR  kicks off each year with “The Great American Race” at Daytona. The 500-mile long race aired last weekend and was a hit among Slingbox fans.

Denny Hamlin won the race with the closet finish in its 57-year history, finishing with only a split-second margin over Martin Truex Jr. Hamlin has finished in the top five at Daytona three of the past four years. The race also was a landmark victory for Toyota as it was the automaker’s first win in the Daytona 500 since entering NASCAR’s Cup Series in 2007. At the time, many were skeptical about the Japanese company’s entry into a sport dominated by American-made cars; however,Toyota has proven their cars are fast as they swept the top three positions with Hamlin, Truex and Kyle Busch all piloting Toyotas around the track.

Use your Slingbox to catch more NASCAR action at Atlanta Motor Speedway throughout  this weekend.

We’ll be back next week with more top ten lists!
