This past week, Slingbox users were enjoying the top entertainment shows of the season. The Walking Dead continues to remain the top show of the month as they stack another “most watched show” title for their record book. The Walking Dead airs every Sunday, and although Slingbox users watch a lot of The Walking Dead, their total viewers are drastically shrinking. After the season premier that answered the season 6 cliffhanger, the amount of regular viewers dropped by about 6 million people!
This Black Friday there are a ton of great deals, but one of the best out there is with Slingbox. For our loyal Slingbox customers we are offering a limited time offer starting on Cyber Monday! Help your friends and family enjoy The Walking Dead and all of their other favorite shows and sports on almost any device, anywhere. Check out our Special Offers page on Monday morning to learn more.
With Slingbox and your cable or satellite subscription, you’ll be able to watch all of your live TV anywhere, on any device. With the 2016-17 NBA season in full motion, there’s nothing better than watching the game without restrictions. Sometimes catching those away games on the east coast when you’re California (or vice versa) can be problematic because of the time difference. But with Slingbox, no need to worry about being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Tune in and watch your favorite NBA teams crush their opponents – no matter where you are.
All NBA teams have Thanksgiving Day off, but so far most teams have played about 14 or 15 games this season. 15 games out of 82 is still a long way to go, so if your team isn’t doing too hot, no need to worry. Side note, a lot of teams are playing tonight and Friday after Thanksgiving. Make sure to catch those games with your Slingbox! Below is a chart that shows which teams are leading on the West coast and the East coast.
1. The Walking Dead
2. The OT
3. The Big Bang Theory
4. The O’Reilly Factor
5. Grey’s Anatomy
7. Happening Now
8. FOX and Friends
9. America’s Newsroom
As The Walking Dead continues to lead the pack in this past week’s top 10 entertainment list, HBO’s new show Westworld finally makes our list. Westworld premiered October 2nd, and was recently approved for a second season. The show is currently one of the highest rated shows on IMDb at the moment with a score of 91%. If you are interested in watching this show, you will need a subscription to HBO, but for all of the Game of Thrones fans out there, Westworld is a perfect placeholder until the Game of Thrones season comes back. Westworld’s most recent episode shocked many viewers, but was a big hit among Slingbox users.
To all of the TV fans that are not aware of Westworld, it is a sci-fi show about a wild wild west themed amusement park hosted by robots but managed and visited by humans. This show follows many different characters and how they manage to differentiate the reality from fantasy. The next episode of Westworld airs Sunday at 8pm PT.

After 108 straight years without a win, the Chicago Cubs are your 2016 World Series Champions. Last night’s game was easily one of the most intense World Series games we have ever witnessed. The Cubs started off strong, and maintained a lead for most of the game. It seemed like the Cubs were going to easily win considering they were up 6 to 3 to start the 8th inning. But then, the Cleveland Indians had some juice left in their tank as they tied the game 6 to 6 to head into the 9th. The 9th inning was a straight battle between pitchers and batters, and the 10th inning was where things started to get a bit intense. The Cubs were up to bat, and they managed to score 2 runs to bring the score to 8 – 6 before heading into the bottom of the 10th. The Indians then managed to get one run in with 2 outs left in the inning. Unfortunately, they were not able to capitalize on the opportunity and the Chicago Cubs ended up winning the game 8 to 7. Every minute of the game was intense to watch, and the 2016 World Series game was one of Slingbox’s highest watched programs of the year!
Congratulations to the Cubs players and to the Cubs fans who waited a long 108 years for this day. Say bye-bye to the infamous Billy Goat Curse! The parade is set to occur tomorrow at 10AM ET. Tune in with your Slingbox to watch the parade!
